Accenture Continues Acquisition Binge With Intrigo Systems Purchase
Global professional services provider Accenture Monday continued a long acquisition streak with its purchase of a leading SAP systems integrator.
Dublin, Ireland-based Accenture Tuesday said it acquired Intrigo Systems, a Fremont, Calif.-based provider of advisory and systems integration services for SAP enterprise and cloud solutions.
Accenture did not disclose terms of the deal.

Intrigo Systems provides SAP-related advisory, implementation and managed services. The solution provider said it has done over 150 successful SAP software implementations, including solutions around SAP Integrated Business Planning, SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization, SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration for Buyers, SAP ERP, and analytics for customers in high-tech, fashion, consumer products, manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceutical, and automotive industries.
For Accenture, the acquisition is expected to help boost its ability to deliver end-to-end supply chain transformations.
Supply chains are increasingly impacted by new technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation and analytics, said Bhaskar Ghosh, group chief executive for Accenture Technology Services, in a statement.
"Bringing Intrigo Systems onto our team will provide Accenture with more resources in innovation, development and delivery to help our clients turn their supply chain into a competitive, growth-driving differentiator that shapes a digital, intelligent enterprise," Ghosh said.
Intrigo Systems' supply chain experience will benefit Accenture clients in North America and around the world, said Annette Rippert, senior managing director for Accenture Technology in North America, in a statement.
"By combining their skills with Accenture’s leading capabilities in SAP solutions, we will help our clients leverage innovative technologies including AI and analytics to transform their digital supply chains and improve business performance," Rippert said.
Intrigo Systems is only the latest in a string of at least 11 acquisitions done recently by Accenture, which is ranked No. 2 on CRN's 2018 Solution Provider 500 list.
Accenture in October acquired Kolle Rebbe, a German design agency with a history of working with high-profile clients such as Google and Netflix, and TargetST8, a New York-based provider of digital lending solutions that include deploying artificial intelligence and robotic process automation.
In August, Accenture acquired Mindtribe, a San Francisco-based hardware engineering company that counts among its customer base such industry giants as Apple, Google, Tesla, Lyft, Adobe, Ferrari and NASA. The company also agreed to acquire Pillar Technology, a Columbus, Ohio-based software development company with a focus on rapid and agile development of embedded software developed for smart and connected systems such as autonomous vehicles.
In July, Accenture bought Kogentix, a 275-employee company based in Schaumburg, Ill., that provides AI tools to enterprises.
In June, it acquired Designaffairs, a German strategic design consultant, which followed the April buy of Certus Solutions in a deal to boost its Oracle Cloud capabilities.
