Nerdio Unveils Microsoft Management Road Map, Beefs Up Capabilities

‘We are going to be building management capabilities that enable MSPs to manage multiple customers in a very consistent, automated, simple way rather than have to jump from one Microsoft platform to another and go from one customer to another to perform the same tasks,’ says Vadim Vladimirskiy, co-founder and CEO of Nerdio.

Chicago-based Nerdio Tuesday unveiled its product road map to help its partners with more Microsoft products as well as new capabilities for Nerdio Manager for Enterprise and Nerdio Manager for MSP, expanding the company’s value-add and impact to its partners.

Vadim Vladimirskiy, co-founder and CEO of Microsoft Azure automation provider Nerdio, told CRN that the new capabilities are focused on the current needs of MSPs.

“Those needs have to do with adoption of Microsoft Intune primarily,” he said. “Microsoft Intune is being pushed or targeted towards MSPs, and it’s seen as fairly complex and overwhelming for MSPs. We are trying to repeat what we’ve done with Azure several years ago where we helped MSPs demystify, make it more cost-effective and easier to use in their own practice. I think Intune is ready for that as well.”

The Nerdio team unveiled its road map and product capabilities at Nerdio’s third annual NerdioCon conference in Cancun, Mexico, this week.

Joseph Landes, CRO of Nerdio, said when the team speaks with MSPs they ask more and more about Intune.

“[MSPs] say, ‘We’d love to be able to manage physical endpoints from within your platform,’” Landes told CRN. “It’s the same theme of abstract the complex. As it turns out, Intune is very complex so we think we could add a lot of value there.”

And as the year goes on, Nerdio has a road map in play that will help partners with products in the Microsoft ecosystem.

“We are going to be building management capabilities that enable MSPs to manage multiple customers in a very consistent, automated, simple way rather than have to jump from one Microsoft platform to another and go from one customer to another to perform the same tasks,” Vladimirskiy said.

“We’re unifying all of that experience into one tool with very robust security and role-based access control, templates and policies that they can take and apply across their entire customer base,” he added. “And then monitor compliance across the entire gamut of Microsoft services.”

Nerdio Manager for Enterprise is a modern, unified management platform for Desktop as a Service and physical endpoints. New capabilities include Nerdio Unified Application Management , which aggregates Windows applications from a range of archives, delivers them across multiple Windows devices and reports on usage, performance and licensing; and Nerdio Advisor, which is a suite of technologies delivered in phases to estimate cost, simplify and automate deployment and recommends features based on usage patterns.

Nerdio Manager for MSP is a multitenant, workflow-powered cloud management platform that helps MSPs accelerate Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 and Microsoft Intune deployments. New capabilities that will soon be rolled out include Unified Endpoint Management, which provides MSPs with single-pane-of-glass management for all Windows devices and applications leveraging Microsoft Intune; and Multi-Tenant and Cross-Tenant Management, which allows MSPs to manage multiple tenants and apply policies across customers.

Previews are available for both Nerdio Manager offerings and are being rolled out on a phase-by-phase approach.

“Nerdio and Blue Fox Group are aligned under a shared desire to provide business leaders with better ways to leverage Microsoft Azure to optimize the way they work,” Eric Wood, owner of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based MSP Blue Fox Group, told CRN in an email. “We are thrilled to have a ‘cloud-first’ MSP tool to modernize our existing customer offering, helping clients reach their desired goals faster, smarter and better.”
