‘Game Changer’ PrintAnyWay To Help SMBs Manage Printer Costs

‘The game changer is giving a high value to the customer at a way, way cheaper price, but you don’t lose any of the features or capabilities,’ says Tommy McCrury, co-owner of Total Office Solution of West Texas, a Xerox reseller.

Washington, D.C. area solution provider Just Tech is taking the wraps off “game changer” print management software that costs exponentially less than the competition and can be deployed in the SMB environment.

Xerox Accredited Master Elite Partner Josh Justice said his exclusive deal with PrintAnyWay finally gives SMB customers a way to use managed print software without spending up to thousands of dollars per device on licensing fees.

“Traditionally, with print management software companies there are server licenses, there’s user licenses. The pricing is pretty complicated and it’s cost prohibitive for small and medium businesses,” said the owner of Just Tech in La Plata, Md. “But with PrintAnyWay there’s only a license per device, one time. And it includes five years of support.”

Justice said in some cases customers could spend more on the licensing fees for print management software, than they do on actual printing cost. Advanced features like printing from an RFID badge, PIN, or card readers are included in the software, which for now is only available for use with Xerox products, Justice said. He said in terms of cost savings, the PrintAnyWay fees are $300 per device for some Xerox multi-function printers.

“If a small to medium size business has three MFPs that’s $900, not the $5,000 to $8,000 they would pay with any other provider,” Justice said. “We’ve won five new business deals just because of the cost savings and because it works great.”

Tommy McCrury, co-owner of Total Office Solution of West Texas, a Xerox reseller -- who also said he has been winning deals after getting the solution from Justice -- said without print management software, businesses lose the ability to control expenses.

“At the ownership level it’s being able to manage and control the users and make it easier for the users to use the device,” he said. “All you do is walk up and scan your badge or enter your ID and hit the PrintAnyWay app and see your job.”

McCrury said not only is the product less expensive, it’s easier to use than the more expensive alternatives. He said after they installed it on his own company’s system as a trial, they recognized the real value was in its simplicity since adding users or additional equipment is “just a click of the button.”

“It’s definitely a game changer for us. We have installed PrintAnyWay in our office here,” McCrury said. “The game changer is giving a high value to the customer at a way, way cheaper price, but you don’t lose any of the features or capabilities.”

Justice said the solution is designed by a former Xerox employee and software engineer in Portugal. Just Tech is providing support and service in the US, and has already created several youtube tutotirals to help resellers install and operate the software. Justice said PrintAnyWay sits on the machine locally, and does not communicate outside the U.S.

He said four years ago people thought he was crazy for building and selling apps for use on Xerox’s multi-function devices, but the productivity tools on the copier proved to be just as useful as productivity tools on smartphones. He said there are 54,000 apps installed on machines around the world that Just Tech has created.

“We kept finding new things to do: request service, update supplies, update software, send cloud faxes. We kept finding new ways for the apps to work,” he said.
