Infosys To Buy Fluido, Boost Presence In Nordic Region

Infosys unveiled a plan to acquire a Salesforce Platinum partner in Europe that will give the company a dominating presence in the Nordic region.

Bangalore, India-based Infosys said the move to buy Fluido is designed to make the company a leading Salesforce enterprise cloud services provider and help give customers “unparalleled cloud-first transformation,” the company said in a statement.

“This acquisition demonstrates Infosys’ commitment to the Salesforce ecosystem to address our clients’ digital priorities,” Ravi Kumar, president and deputy COO of Infosys, said in a statement. “Fluido will be an important addition to the Infosys family, bringing a unique combination of market presence, deep Salesforce expertise, agile delivery and training, that combined with our existing capabilities will help companies reimagine and transform their businesses.”

The acquisition of Fluido is expected to close during the third quarter of fiscal 2019, subject to customary closing conditions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The company’s headquarters are in Espoo, Finland, and it has offices in Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Slovakia. Fluido elevates Infosys’ presence across the Nordic region with developed assets and deep customer relationships, the company said in a statement.

Two years ago, Infosys competitor Wipro spent a half-billion dollars to purchase cloud service powerhouse Appirio so it could improve its market share and position around Salesforce and Workday.
