Tibco Hires Former Anaplan, Salesforce Exec As Its New Channel Chief

Tony Beller will oversee Tibco’s Acceleration Partner Program and the recently launched ISV Velocity Partner Program and will work to expand the partner ecosystem.

Tibco Software has hired channel veteran Tony Beller (pictured) to be the software integration and business analytics company’s new channel chief, the company said Wednesday.

Beller, who has held channel management posts at Anaplan, ServiceNow and Salesforce, takes over as senior vice president, worldwide partner ecosystems and OEM sales.

He replaces Jason Johns who left in May to become senior vice president of global alliances and channels at Software AG, according to Johns’ LinkedIn page.

Tibco, headquartered in Palo Alto, Calif., works with more than 400 VARs, solution providers, systems integrators, cloud service providers, ISVs, OEMs, technology partners and strategic territory partners in North America. Indirect sales through the channel account for between 30 and 40 percent of the privately held company’s total revenue.

Beller will oversee Tibco’s two-tiered Acceleration Partner Program as well as the recently launched ISV Velocity Partner Program.

Beller will be charged with building new markets with Tibco’s partner ecosystem, driving revenue and ensuring customer success through partners, the company said in a statement.

Beller worked at planning software developer Anaplan since November 2018, serving as vice president of worldwide strategic alliances and channels. While there he helped to build its strategic partner ecosystem and launched new go-to-market channels, according to Tibco.

Before Anaplan Beller was vice president of worldwide alliances and channels at ServiceNow between September 2016 and September 2018, according to his LinkedIn page. Prior to that he spent more than 10 years at Salesforce working in multiple channel management and enablement roles, the last as vice president of alliances and channels, enterprise, go to market.

Tibco develops a broad range of software products that span application integration and messaging, business analytics and data science, and metadata and master data management. The company has built up its product portfolio through a series of acquisitions over the years including integration Platform-as-a-Service provider Scribe software and master data management software vendor Orchestra Networks, both in 2018, and in-memory data platform vendor SnappyData last year. Tibco acquired Cisco System’s data virtualization business in 2017.
