WATCH: Headlines You Missed From Dell Technologies World 2019

Dell Technologies told a cloud story at its annual customer and partner conference in Las Vegas, announcing new integrations with VMware and Microsoft Azure.

Dell Technologies CEO Michael Dell presented a hybrid, multi-cloud vision at Dell Technologies World in Las Vegas this week -- and he didn’t do it alone.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and VMware CEO Pat Gelsinger joined Dell on stage to announce an expanded partnership that aims to deliver the next stage of digital technology. It brings VMware tools into the Azure cloud.

“Digital technology is so core to the innovation in retail, healthcare and architect. Pick your sector of the economy. It’s just phenomenal to see that and what’s fueling that and what’s needed is great infrastructure,” said Nadella. “So, I’m really thrilled and pleased to announce the availability of Azure and VMware solutions, which brings all of the VMware capabilities natively to Azure and Azure customers.”

Dell also unveiled the Dell Technologies Cloud Platform, an on-premise solution built on its hyper-converged infrastructure, VXRail, as well as VMware Cloud Foundation, which is VMware’s hybrid cloud solution that provides integrated cloud infrastructure and cloud management services to run applications in both private and public environments. Executives says it’s, “the best hybrid cloud solution on the planet.”

“Your team needs a consistent operating model. Consistent infrastructure. Consistent tool that allow you to span from public to private to edge,” said Pat Gelsinger, VMware CEO.

Dell also held its Global Partner Summit at Dell Technologies World. Dell’s partners are driving 50 percent of its overall revenue and executives hope the debut of its newly rebranded Dell Technologies Partner Program will continue that success.

“Most of our servers today go through partners. Partners are so valuable to the Dell ecosystem, providing the services on top, the solutions with adding the software, integrating things like VMware. There are so many things that we partner with our channel vendors to make sure we provide the right solution that’s easy on them, enabling them to best sell to their end users.”
