Kloudspot Offers QuickStart Bundle For Back-To-Work Initiatives: Exclusive

‘I think what we’ve learned is there’s a lot of technologies, whether they be thermal cameras, cameras looking at facial recognition for PPE detection, or Wi-Fi analytics. So what we do is we actually put all of that together, we stitch it together into our platform, and this bundle is QuickStart. We provide it as a service so [partners] can add their value on top of that,’ Kloudspot CEO Guillermo “G” Diaz tells CRNtv.

As businesses and schools work on returning to a “new normal” safely, location services vendor Kloudspot is launching a channel bundle for solutions that monitor social distancing, mask-wearing and temperature scanning.

“One of the things we’ve been working on over the last six months is how do we get businesses, how we get schools, etc. back to normal, and this is still a challenge for everyone,” Kloudspot CEO Guillermo “G” Diaz told CRNtv. “And what we’re putting together is what we call a ‘QuickStart’ Bundle, a bundle of technology that accelerates offices, schools, retail stores getting back to normal.”

Kloudspot’s location analytics platform can use artificial intelligence to track whether employees and guests are following COVID-19 safety measures such as social distancing and mask-wearing.

“I think what we’ve learned is there’s a lot of technologies, whether they be thermal cameras, cameras looking at facial recognition for PPE [personal protective equipment] detection, or Wi-Fi analytics. So what we do is we actually put all of that together, we stitch it together into our platform, and this bundle is QuickStart. We provide it as a service so [partners] can add their value on top of that,” said Diaz.

The value partners bring to the AI platform is “being able to drive the loyalty and the ongoing stickiness—the services that they might provide around it, the ongoing professional services, or operational services, cabling, things of that nature that they can add on top of that,” said Diaz. “So, we’re really excited to provide them with this QuickStart so they can add all of the pieces around it.”

Presidio, a New York-based solution provider, told CRNtv what’s most exciting about the QuickStart bundle is getting employees and students back into physical buildings—safely.

“The fact that Kloudspot has taken the initiative to really bring the bundle together into one SKU allows us to really quickly ramp these customers up, simplifies the purchasing process, simplifies the initiation process of this. For us as a partner in this space it really helps with the ease of business in getting net-new customer opportunities and the implementation side off the ground quickly, which of course is what our customers are looking for,” said Michelle Curtis, vice president of IoT and emerging solutions at Presidio. “They want this technology in fast, they want to prove its value in the field, and they want to start expanding from there. So this is a solution that will allow us to do that.

“For us this represents a huge opportunity, and not only this initial sale but all of the infrastructure, support and managed services that will come behind it,” added Curtis. “It’s not just about selling a box or a point solution to our customers. It’s really looking at how we can serve them as their service partner and life-cycle services provider to enhance their overall business and leverage cross-architecture solutions, and this is a great example of that coming together seamlessly.”
