Service provider giant Verizon brought 21 new cities, or 20 new 5G markets online on Thursday. The carrier is betting on 5G to boost business that was negatively impacted by the financial downturn brought on by the global COVID-19 pandemic, Verizon said.

Thursday’s addition brings Verizon 5G Business, its fixed wireless connectivity offering, to a total of 24 United States cities for businesses of all sizes, the carrier said.

Verizon told CRN that 5G Business would be available through the carrier’s channel partners.
