Trellix CEO: We’ve Outperformed Our Financial Metrics Across the Board

Trellix CEO Bryan Palma urges partners to get focused on cybersecurity, an area that he says holds up well in times of recession.

It’s been nearly nine months since the launch of the cybersecurity firm Trellix, which combined FireEye and McAfee Enterprise into a single company specialized in XDR. It’s a platform that’s seen demand in the market, according to CEO Bryan Palma.
“We’ve gotten off to a great start,” said Palma in an interview with CRNtv. “We’ve had three quarters now as the new company under Trellix umbrella, and we‘ve outperformed our financial metrics across the board. So, we’re pretty excited about that.”
But will that success continue given the state of the market?
“The good news is… we’re a little bit insulated in cybersecurity because even in a recession there are still hackers and bad people out there doing bad things. So, one of the things I would advise our partners to do, and the channel is really pivot, obviously I’m being a little selfish here, but many of our partners work across different technology stacks. I would advise them to get focused on cyber security because if it is a recessionary environment, cybersecurity holds up really well.”

Trellix has armed partners with a new partner program to make it easier for them to pivot in that way. The program rewards partners for the value and outcomes that they create with the customer. Ryan Morris, president at Blackwood, a Trellix partner, says that Trellix’s combined power of FireEye and McAfee technologies has made it easy for the channel to meet those market goals outlined in the program.

“We’re talking about 40,000 customers supported by 5000 employees, several billion dollars in revenue. We’ve been given a lot of resource to go and attack a very big problem.”
