The company is using its virtual partner conference to launch numerous new ProBook laptops, along with conferencing monitors and a new series of LaserJet Enterprise devices.

Reinventing WFH Devices

HP Inc. is using its virtual Reinvent 2020 partner conference this week to unveil a range of devices that solution providers—and anyone working remotely—should appreciate. The announcements include numerous new laptops in the company’s ProBook series; new EliteDesk desktop PCs; several new monitors; and a new series of LaserJet Enterprise devices. Major themes cutting across all of the devices include offering strong performance in a compact form factor that is ideal for work-from-home.

What follows are the key details on HP’s new PCs, monitors and printers that are being unveiled at the virtual Reinvent 2020 this week.

HP ProBook 635 Aero G7

HP is leading its new personal systems launches at Reinvent 2020 with the ProBook 635 Aero G7, a highly portable, AMD-powered addition to the company’s SMB-focused ProBook lineup. The ProBook 635 Aero G7 will have a starting weight of just 2.2 pounds and will run AMD Ryzen 4000 Series mobile processors with AMD Radeon graphics, up to the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U. That makes the notebook the “world’s lightest AMD-based business notebook” and the “world’s first AMD-based business notebook under 1 kg,” according to HP. Other key elements of the ProBook 635 Aero G7 include an all-metal design, optional Sure View Reflect integrated privacy screen, a premium “quiet keyboard” design and optional LTE connectivity.

The HP ProBook 635 Aero G7 will be available in November.

HP ProBook 600 G8 and 400 G8

HP is also announcing its new ProBook 600 G8 and 400 G8 series notebooks. The announcement includes three notebooks in the ProBook 600 G8 series and three notebooks in the 400 G8 series, with 13-, 14- and 15-inch models to choose from in each series. Key updates include making the ProBook 600 series HP’s smallest and lightest 600 series ever, with a starting weight of 2.8 pounds and an 80-percent screen-to-body ratio for a compact form factor all around. The new ProBook 400 series also rates high on portability with a starting weight of 2.8 pounds and an 87-percent screen-to-body ratio. All of the notebooks are powered by 11th-gen Intel Core processors, up to a quad-core Intel Core i7 chip.

The HP ProBook 600 G8 and 400 G8 will be available in November.

HP EliteDesk 805 G6 Series

With the EliteDesk 805 G6 Series, HP is offering two models of the desktop PC—a “mini” form factor and a “small form factor.” The latter is the larger of the two, with dimensions of 10.6 x 11.9 x 3.8 inches – though still smaller than the typical tower. Meanwhile, the EliteDesk 805 G6 Mini PC (pictured) measures 6.97 x 6.89 x 1.35 inches. Both models are powered by AMD Ryzen PRO 4000 Series Desktop Processors, and HP is touting the EliteDesk 805 G6 Mini PC as the “World’s smallest and most powerful AMD-based Ultra Small Form Factor business-class PC.”

The HP EliteDesk 805 G6 Series will be available in the October/November timeframe.

HP E24t G4 Touch Monitor

For work-from-home users that are more comfortable using a touch screen than a mouse for navigation, HP’s E24t G4 is the rare external monitor with a touch-sensitive display. The 23.8-inch touch screen features FHD resolution and slim bezels on three sides of the display for a reduced form factor, along with four-way adjustability. The E24t G4 also includes the HP Eye Ease blue light filter, making the display the “world’s first touch monitor with always-on low-blue-light,” HP says.

The HP E24t G4 Touch Monitor will be available in the October-December timeframe.

HP E24d and E27d Conferencing Monitors

For its two new conferencing monitors, the E24d G4 and E27d G4, HP is including a number of features aimed at enhanced video and audio conferencing experiences. Key elements of the monitors are an integrated pop-up webcam, along with a mic and speaker bar. The monitors also offer the Eye Ease blue light filter and four-way adjustability, and come in 23.8-inch FHD (for the E24d) and 27-inch QHD (for the E24d) configurations.

The HP E24d and E27d Conferencing Monitors will be available in the October-December timeframe.

HP LaserJet Enterprise 400 Series

HP is also using the virtual Reinvent 2020 conference to announce an upcoming refresh to its LaserJet Enterprise 400 Series. The new devices will be available both as single-function and multifunction variants, and with both mono and color versions, as well, HP said. Among the biggest updates is the reduction of the form factor size, so as to fit the LaserJet Enterprise 400 devices into tight spaces such as in home-office environments. The devices offer “HP’s smallest enterprise-class experience,” the company said, bringing together capabilities of HP’s larger A3 and A4 devices in a more-compact form factor. The LaserJet Enterprise 400 also includes a major emphasis on security and management, with features such as self-healing from cyber attacks and fleet-wide remote management, HP said.

The HP LaserJet Enterprise 400 Series will be available in December.
